Providing faith-based coaching, training, and education to students who are in need of spiritual, physical, emotional and educational support.
Does your student have a special talent or interest they desire to cultivate? If so, it is never too early or too late to find advocates who can help them achieve their very BEST in the days ahead. Maybe they need connections to funding for special training, introduction to mentors or just someone in their corner to support and encourage them. If this sounds like your situation, BEST Ministries just might be the answer you’ve been looking and praying for.
BEST Ministries was established to provide faith-based coaching, training, and education to those who are in need of spiritual, physical, emotional or educational support. No one ever sees a dream realized without the help of others. Everything we do as a ministry is for the glory of God and for the benefit of those who entrust us to encourage and support them.
We have supported and encouraged students and coaches from all backgrounds as they chased their dreams. Your student deserves the BEST – and we want to help them get there.
Thank you to our prayer and financial supporters who keep us encouraged along the way.
Building Mutually Beneficial Relationships
Encouraging Realistic and Attainable Dreams
Sharing Testimonies that Motivate and Inspire
Training Winners One Victory at a Time
Mutually beneficial relationships are so important to our individual success. It doesn’t matter who you are or what you may be involved in on your personal journey, developing strong relationships with others is vital to your personal breakthroughs and continued growth.
The bible tells the story of Saul/Paul and how the Lord changed his life through a dramatic encounter. Paul moved from being a persecutor of the followers of Jesus to becoming a follower himself. Though great change was happening in his life, he couldn’t find a way to connect to the other believers until Barnabas took the time to get to know Paul and introduce him to others. Out of that forged relationship Paul would later take Barnabas on some great journeys.
I remember when my father explained to my best friend and me that we were never going to play in the NBA. I thought, how does he know…. I’ll show him. Then I matured a bit and realized that I should try to be a good player on my high school team first before preparing myself for the upcoming NBA Draft. The road that leads to the realization of what seems to be a big dream, is fraught with many curves and a pot holes. The encouragement of both realistic and attainable dreams is of vital importance to the continued passionate pursuit of living well. Realistic and attainable dreams are not only difficult to define but they are just as difficult to realize.
The Bible tells the story of how Moses sent spies into the promised land to look at the very realistic and attainable dream of living in a land that was blessed with abundance. However, most of the spies didn’t see the opportunity the dream gave them…. They were distracted by the obstacles that lay before them. The two spies who gave the positive report were still believing in the dream because they knew it was both realistic and attainable. Here is what Caleb, one of the spies had to say:
“Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.’”
Here is what Caleb said many years later:
“I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Kadesh Barnea to explore the land. And I brought him back a report according to my convictions, but my fellow Israelites who went up with me made the hearts of the people melt in fear. I, however, followed the Lord my God wholeheartedly. So on that day Moses swore to me, ‘The land on which your feet have walked will be your inheritance and that of your children forever, because you have followed the Lord my God wholeheartedly.’

In 1991, my wife, Melinda, and I were blessed with twins. I watched, encouraged and supported through the years as they pursued their dreams. My son has been used to bless many through his music ministry and business ventures. My daughter inspired many through her collegiate basketball career.
I watched, encouraged and supported through the years as they pursued their dreams. As I look back on their individual journeys and successes, I’ll never forget the names of the people who helped them progress towards their dreams.
My hope is to encourage students and provide them with the BEST connections, resources, and encouragement to help propel them towards their dreams.
My name is Meagan Henson and I am the Chief Operating Officer of BEST Ministries. When I was about 11 years old I shared my dream of playing college basketball with my dad. He put together a plan and we started chasing that dream together. With the help and support of several others we were able to accomplish this dream. I played 4 years at TCU and have also had coaching stops at TCU, Angelo State, Upper Iowa University, Howard Payne University, and Central Christian College.
I have truly been blessed and I want to give back encouragement and support to others who are developing or chasing their dreams. No matter what your talent or ability, we want to help you succeed. Be encouraged and remember… Do your Best Today!
